The First Half of 2025: A Bold Start and Brilliant Memories

The first half of 2025 has been nothing short of remarkable for SSQ Design. We started the year off with a bang, moved swiftly from one inspiring project to the next, and ended the season on a real high. As I reflect on the journey, I’m so proud of the bold stands, new clients, and unforgettable memories we’ve created along the way.

Starting Strong at Mining Indaba

Our year began with Mining Indaba, one of the continent’s most prestigious gatherings. It set the tone for what was to come: ambitious builds, strong brand storytelling, and spaces that brought people together in powerful ways.

Innovation at AATF

Next came the Africa Automation Technology Fair (AATF), where we had the opportunity to create dynamic, future-focused stands for clients who are shaping tomorrow’s industries. These builds captured the excitement of automation and technology while showcasing our ability to balance function with standout design.

The Magic of Travel Indaba

Africa's Travel Indaba was a highlight not just for the projects but for the partnerships. Working alongside our incredible clients, we transformed spaces into experiences that celebrated both brand identity and the spirit of travel. This show reminded me of the joy that comes from collaboration — when creativity is shared, the results are truly extraordinary.

Bold Branding at Frigair

From there, we shifted gears to Frigair Expo. With wonderful new clients joining the SSQ family, this expo gave us the chance to make bold statements with fresh designs.

A Flying Finish at AERO SA

We closed off the half-year on a high with AERO South Africa. It was the perfect way to

round off a busy, successful start to the year.

Reflections and What’s Ahead

Looking back, what strikes me most is the sheer variety of work — from mining to automation, travel, and aviation to finance. Each build challenged us to push boundaries, adapt, and deliver designs that were not only functional but also unforgettable.

Most of all, I’m grateful — to our clients who trusted us, our partners who collaborated with us, and our team whose passion and precision bring every stand to life.
